At PYONG Rehabilitation Penthouse (Gaysorn Tower floor 11 – BTS Chit Lom) we have the Full Body Analysis service, using a 3D posture analysis system of the infrared kind together with modern AI. It suits those who are concerned about posture, the alignment of the body, or who have chronic pain of the muscles and the bones.
Every step is under the care of a rehabilitation medicine physician and the multidisciplinary team. This system helps detect abnormalities in the arrangement of posture, imbalance of the muscles, and deviation of the alignment of the bones that may be related to pain or to abnormal movement. With a 3D scan that is quick and uses no radiation, the person receiving the service will get clear visual information together with advice specific to the individual.
What is Full Body Analysis?
The Full Body Analysis examination uses an infrared camera (RGB-D) and AI algorithms in order to scan the body in 3D. It takes only about 30 seconds to create a detailed report on the posture of the whole body, such as
- The alignment of the bones
- The balance of the muscles
- The angles of the joints
The system can assess as many as 87 muscles, together with indicators of posture such as head shift, pelvic tilt, Q-angle and the curvature of the spine, without needing an X-ray. You just stand comfortably and the system records the data and creates a 3D simulated image showing the skeleton and the muscles.
Why should Full Body Analysis at PYONG Rehabilitation be chosen?
- A doctor supervises: every result of the examination is interpreted by a rehabilitation medicine physician together with a physiotherapist and integrated into the plan of treatment
- Advanced AI technology: analysis that is precise and covers more than traditional methods
- A holistic approach to restoration: the results help plan physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and the restoration of the nervous system
- A convenient location in the centre of the city: located at BTS Chit Lom, easy to travel to for following up the treatment
Compared with examining posture by eye or with general 2D photographs, Full Body Analysis uses an infrared camera (RGB-D) and AI algorithms in order to scan the body in 3D, so it can examine and give information that is numerical, can be measured again, and has comparative images, making the treatment more transparent and more on target. It can assess as many as 87 muscles, together with indicators of the posture of the spine and the various joints, so that doctors and physiotherapists are able to assess the approach to treatment for the patient more precisely and effectively than a general examination.
The steps in how Full Body Analysis works
- Preliminary assessment – the doctor takes the history and asks about the symptoms, such as muscle pain, imbalance, or limitations of movement
- The scan – the person receiving the service stands for the infrared AI camera to record the data. There is no need to take off clothes and no radiation is used
- Processing the data – the system analyses the posture, the symmetry of the muscles, and the arrangement of the joints
- A 3D visual report – showing a model of the body together with deviations of posture or tight muscles
- Giving advice and planning – the doctor explains the result and plans together with you, such as corrective exercise, adjusting posture, or doing physiotherapy
States that may benefit from Full Body Analysis
- The head jutting forward (Forward head posture) and neck pain
- Hunched shoulders / a hunched back
- The pelvis tilted or out of balance
- Problems of the Q-angle of the knee
- Back pain from abnormal posture
- Imbalance after cerebrovascular disease or an injury of the nervous system
- Weak muscles from older age
- Problems of balance from abnormal body alignment
- Standing or walking tilted as a habit
- Preventing injury from degeneration in older people
The academic evidence
- Precision: research states that analysis of posture with AI is more reliable than measurement by hand
- Restoration: 3D scanning helps the doctor follow changes in patients with diseases of the nervous system better
- The participation of the patient: 3D images and numerical values help the patient understand the problem and follow the advice more
How often should it be done?
- Begin with a first detailed examination
- Examine again every 4–6 weeks in order to follow the result or adjust the plan of treatment
- In patients with cerebrovascular disease or with chronic abnormal posture, the doctor may determine a cycle of examination together with the physiotherapy programme
The results that can be expected
- Immediately: seeing a clear picture of the posture and the muscles
- A few weeks: awareness of posture may begin to be observed, reducing the discomfort
- Long term: doing corrective exercises continuously helps adjust the posture, reduce tightness, and increase the effectiveness of movement
The results depend on the continuity in doing the exercises, the age, and the underlying state of each individual
Safety
- It uses infrared, safe, no radiation
- The scan takes no more than 30 seconds
- It does not suit those who have an unstable medical condition (the doctor will assess first)
- The team looks after privacy and safety throughout the steps
The cost
The Full Body Analysis examination with Moti Physio at PYONG Rehabilitation Penthouse starts at 8,400 baht per session. The cost depends on the complexity of the examination and on combining it with other therapy packages.
