Advanced Zero-Gravity Ceiling Hoist System
The starting point of effective restoration is the patient feeling the highest safety from the very first step. At PYONG Rehabilitation we understand well that in the group of patients who are severely weak, patients after surgery, or older people, moving the body is a fragile period, with a risk of falling, and usually creates pain in the joints.
We therefore raise the standard of safety with the innovation of the intelligent ceiling-mounted support hoist system (Advanced Zero-Gravity Ceiling Hoist System), which changes the difficult moving of a patient into a gentle floating as though in a state of weightlessness (Zero-Gravity), helping remove the patient's fear of falling (Fear of falling) entirely, while opening up a space for restoration that is wide and free of obstacles.
What is the Zero-Gravity Ceiling Hoist?
An intelligent sliding support rail system installed on the ceiling (Overhead Tracking System), designed to bear the weight and support the patient during physiotherapy, working together with a safety harness (Harness) of high safety, helping the patient train balance, get up and sit down, and step forward with confidence, without having to worry about losing balance or being injured
- The Bridge to Advanced Robotics: helps lift and support the patient into advanced equipment, such as a gait training robot, with 100% safety, without injury from being lifted and pulled
- Early Mobilization: the physiotherapy programme can be begun immediately from the early phase, helping prevent complications from being bed-bound, such as pressure sores or stiff joints
The mechanism of working
- Dynamic Weight Support: helps support part of the body weight (Unloading), so that the joints and the muscles work less, helping the patient move more easily
- Safety Fall Arrest: sensors detect abnormal movement; if balance is lost, the system will lock the position of the sling immediately in order to prevent a fall to the floor
- Seamless Tracking: the sliding rail moves along with the patient automatically, making gait training natural, without pulling back
Technical Specifications
- Sensor-Motion Technology: a proprietary innovation driven by intelligent sensors, 100% without buttons. The hoist reads the direction and switches rails automatically, so that the physiotherapist can focus fully on caring for the patient
- The 4-Point Electric Spreader Bar: helps distribute the pressure in a balanced way, preventing constriction in the area of the shoulders and the hips, giving a comfortable feeling and keeping the body upright according to the principles of anatomy
- Precision Lifting Control: the motor can adjust the speed finely and gently, without jerking, preventing a state of blood pressure falling while changing posture (Orthostatic Hypotension)
Evidence-Based
- The case of restoring balance (Balance Training): research confirms that a support system helps reduce anxiety, so that the patient dares to exert effort in walking more, resulting in the speed and the distance increasing more quickly than with general training
- The case of spinal cord injury (SCI): it helps the patient begin training weight-bearing more quickly, which is important for maintaining the density of the bones and stimulating the nervous system
Who is it suitable for?
- Those who have severe instability of balance, or who fear falling (Fear of Falling)
- Patients with cerebrovascular disease (Stroke) in the stage of learning to stand or learning to walk
- Those who have the problem of severely weak muscles but need to train movement
- Older people who need to train and exercise in an environment that is 100% safe
- Patients after leg or hip surgery who must limit weight-bearing
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Q1 : How does it differ from using a walking stick or a Walker
A: This system is safer because it prevents a fall to the floor 100%, and helps both arms be free, so the posture of walking is more graceful and more correct and natural
Q2 : Will the patient depend on the equipment until they cannot walk by themselves
A: No, since the system helps them "dare to step" more. When the patient becomes stronger, the physiotherapist will gradually reduce the supporting force until they can walk by themselves with confidence
Q3 : Can it support patients of great body weight
A: It can, since the system has been designed with a rail structure strong to the standard of the medical industry, in order to support the weight of an adult very well
